Here is a Chinese Buddhist Su-Chu. I cant tell if the white beads are bone, ivory or plastic. My boss would prefer it if we didn't try the hot needle test on these. Any ideas?

Can you post a closeup pic of the other beads and pendants on the necklace? It's hard to tell but it looks like they may be enameled silver - a closer look would help tell us when it was made.

Are there any lines or "grain" on the beads? ivory will have a natural crosshatching called "schreger lines."

haven't found an exact match yet but my guess is Qing dynasty bone beads.

Thank you so much for these links. The look almost exactly like what I have.

I do see some lines on the beads. They all seem to be going in the same direction.

Do you know if there is any significance to the number of beads?
