I think your comment is very rude. Your response isn't even what I had asked for.
What it really sounds like is you have some sort of a chip on your shoulder.
I think I'll just wait for a more informed reply.
If you don't like me......stay the heck away from my posts.
Thanks for nothing
Perhaps Stefany thought you were Danny Lopaki. He has reground old beads with beautiful results. His lapidary skills are superb.
thanks Birdi- that is true. i do love these old stone beads and often wish i could rescue some that i have by regrinding in some way. but i don't have the skills...
The majority of these beads are Swat/Indus valley in origin. There are some that are Suleimani but it is mostly a mix of many types. Many are Bactrian others are not.
Hopefully others will chime in here are two images of Bactrian beads in far better shape.
All my best the other ........... Danny
I would have to say no on your question. I know that at the time period these beads are from 2200 BCE-1700 BCE many beads were being produced locally. I assume the culture traded with other cultures so no telling for sure where they were made.
Now this is what I was looking for ....THANKS a TON all.
I'll be reading this starting Monday morn.
Look's like some really good info.
