Some luck at Easter estate sales

I occasionally follow some web sites like esatatesales.org in case something interesting in the way of beads shows up in my local area. This weekend was the first time I actually saw two sales that featured a lot of costume jewelry beads, so I decided to check them out.

First stop yielded a strand of old 4-5 mm Venetian white seed beads, a deal for $2.

At the second stop I found a 54" double strand of salmon pink snake beads, and 15" of Czech pressed glass with no clasp, $10 each. In addition to those two items I decided to spend $40 on a beaded collar that was mostly intact. No loose beads but missing some at the clasp ends, broken spacer bars, and also it looks like some of the tiny bells are missing. This is my first (Naga?) beaded collar, and I'd appreciate input about its age and origin. It had an old tag on it marked $195 so I'm hoping I got a "deal".

I also spent a whole dollar on the Coles and Budwig book, "Beads".

Happy Easter to all!
