Thanks to birdi's "Pinterest and bead cards" post I started looking through the The Frost Trade Bead Collection Gallery on the Illinois state museum site and found the bead that we had questions about a few weeks ago.
It was not necessary but it is nice to have a validation of the beads.

Bead number 990, here is the link

Is that the origin of 'my' bead cards?

The last time the Frost Collection was discussed here on BCN 2 years ago, the museum was in danger of closing, due to a state budget crisis. It was closed for 9 months, and has been re-opened for about a year, apparently with a 78% drop in attendance compared to pre-closure. A number of inquiries were made about the Frost collection. I'm glad to see that the Illinois budget seems to be doing better.

The Frost Collection pages on the museum website are a fascinating piece of the history of the bead trade into the U.S. And a bit to Africa as well.
