apart from the drop-shaped bell at the centre, the ?yoruba lost wax elements include at the clasp a representation of a plaited banana leaf menstrual napkin from a young female puberty initiation ceremony girdle, and the nailhead-like dangles are from a young man's ritual girdle, as i've been given to understand.
So this could have all sorts of interesting meanings for the wearer!
