The following three items are small ancient gold bits with beads & pendants that appear to have been part of necklaces, earrings or something similar. They were found by a metal detector friend at Roman era sites in Great Britain.

Can you imagine how difficult it must have been for a provincial Roman lady living in Britain to keep up with the latest fashions in Rome?

A garnet gemstone with gold end caps, making it a double loop pendant about 14 mm in length:

Probably part of an earring dangle? A garnet bead with gold end caps and wire with loops through the center, about 16 mm in length.

It could even have been an element in a necklace. I can imagine how a 17" string of them would have looked, joined by rings. I love ancient gold, thanks for showing these!

Possibly earring or necklace bits, unusual looking through. One piece might be part of an elaborate clasp (?). Largest is 13 mm in size.

These next two gold pendants were found in the Balkan peninsula, Long ago, seller said Roma, but the second one and maybe the first as well could be Greek (?).

The one below is about 10 x 19 mm in size:

This one looks like some pictures I have seen of Greek Amphorae emulated in gold jewelry, but it could also be Roman era, I have Heard they really liked to copy Greek cultural elements.

About 7 x 20 mm in size and amphora shaped (?):

A very small and fine chain with tiny faceted lapis lazuli bead (upper). Also from Roman era Great Britain.

No longer with me, so don't have the exact size, but really small.
