Florence, here on the west coast in N. Ca. we have "7 On Your Side", a consumer advocate on one of our SF area television stations...maybe there is some sort of East Coast equivalent that you could consult with...and maybe even Judge Judy would get involved...It would be helpful if there was a written receipt, and a witness to the transaction...
