I am looking and looking and maybe they ARE agate, or carnelian. I also have these - which I just did a google image search and they came up on a site as being Idar-oberstein carnelian beads with a date of between 1600-1700. But I cannot find anything that looks lik the first lot of pictures I posted.

So they are not glass??
