I an still trying to identify this necklace. It is part of the collection of The Bead Museum that was donated to the Mingei in San Diego. I am an intern helping to catalog the collection.
The beads have been identified by Joan Eppen as "Job's Tears". The dangles are etched bone or possibly shell. I am trying to find the origin of the necklace. I have searched for images in all areas where these seeds are used but have not found a similar necklace. Has anyone seen anything like it?
