... mainly because it sounds right, but is beyond my experience.

Although I have a very new laptop, I am not yet using it with any frequency. This is mainly because I can only run the version of Photoshop that is on my old machine. I am resigned to paying for Photoshop for the new laptop. I just haven't done it yet.

Having used Photoshop since 1997, (several iterations ago), I am very used to how it operates, and I do editing exclusively with it. I have very little experience with any other platforms. I suppose that when I rent "New Photoshop," I'll have to make some adjustments.

But I find other photo editing systems to be either too different from Photoshop (and way too complicated); or I find them inadequate compared to Photoshop.

The bottom line is that I am running an old program on an old machine--and, here, to post photos on an old platform that is way outdated (and may not persist for much longer, I fear).

Just for the sake of a visual, I will attach a screenshot I made yesterday, while editing for my Facebook Group. When I format an image to Jpeg, Photoshop presents the file ending as "jpg." I don't have to change anything. And that's what I'm used to doing.

JDA.
