I think some of the beads on the green strand go back about 5 years. Some of the striped ones were purchased recently since they matched the ones I already had.
I've been accumulating Venetian beads for 12 years. I keep them sorted by color and then by the shade of the color. I periodically sift through my collection to see if there are enough beads to complete a design. If I like a bead or a group of coordinating beads, but don't have enough, I paste an image of the ones I need in my "bead journal" Then when I'm traveling or going to shows, I can refer to my notes and pictures.

Pretty obsessive- compulsive, right?
