You might reconsider "bleaching" in your descriptions. This has a specific meaning, and is usually inaccurate for minerals.

I suppose one could say "leeched" or "transformed."

I piggy-back on the issue that chemically-decorated agate beads are sometimes said to be "bleached." But this likewise misunderstands or miscommunicates the actual process and issue.
