This argillite is about a 4.5 mohs. It is very stable with parting planes only between layers a foot to a foot and a half thick. Some layers have the pyrite as seen here while others have little or none and the only parting planes are exactly between the types where they change. Fun stuff to collect but not for an old man like me now , far too steep.
