One of the occasional qualities I like in stone beads is when there's an irregularity in the texture of the stone, between one seam in the agate and another. I don't know the correct terminology for this, or the explanation. I'm sure Danny or Jamey or Frank will be able to tell me.

Anyway, it's what there is in the centre of the eyes in this bead that I'm attaching; again from Central Asia.
