Thanks Jamey- I guess I am used to seeing a Seam on the Light Bulb beads and calling them Molded. What is "Hot Worked" in this context and WHY would it make calling them Molded (totally?) Incorrect?

What are the finer Nuances with making this type of Bead that I am not understanding? I understand that the Early "Vaseline" and some other beads were made with the Tong Mold, each by Hand, but Thought these "Light Bulb" beads were generally more of a Production/Molded Glass Bead (even if made in a Cottage Industry or Home Setting)...

Are the terms "Molded" and " Hot Worked" mutually exclusive or do they go hand in hand? Or are you mainly making the distinction that HOT WORKED VS a Powdered Glass (in a mold) is the precursor to being "Molded" and must be included for a more accurate definition???

Thanks, Anne
