Sorry, this probably won't help you but it got me thinking....
Does anyone recall a little Old Lady in NYC a few decades back that had a Bead Store (by Appointment) in an Apartment? Things were laid out on tables in boxes. etc., with prices and you had to ask her to look at anything or she would actually Yell at you!
I sent a friend there it's been like 15-20 years ago and she found some awesome interesting Old beads but she got kinda shook up when she reached towards something on one of the tables and the Old Lady snapped "don't touch that!".
Seems Old Bead Lady had been in a Storefront for years, and kept getting Ripped Off, so moved her business to an Apartment (she didn't live there).
Don't think she is still there, as she was very Old...does this ring a bell with anyone else?
