The former owner was active in the Los Angeles Bead Society in the 1980s and says, "Brass phallic totems - Moslem - North Africa. Mr. Drammeh sold them to Rudy on a day when I wasn't there."

Does anyone know the purpose of these beads and how these might have been worn? The round ones resemble "Munshi" beads attributed to the Tiv, which are supposed to represent seeds. So perhaps the round beads represent the female element?
