Chihuly Art for a Cozy Thanksgiving Day | |||||

In point of fact, it took me a long time to appreciate Chihuly's work, and a lot of it has come because of two things—the play of light through color and pattern, and the immense scale and proportion of his work. Both of these things make his work commanding and beautiful. This was the largest installation of Chihuly's work I have seen.
So, I am posting a series of images I took with my digital camera in available light, mostly in the sequence in which I shot them. Some pieces sit on a surface, and some hang. Some pieces are small groups, and other are articulated, huge, and may or may not be in an installation with other things—forming a landscape of colors and forms.
As this is art, I don't think a running commentary of the pieces/images is necessary, so I won't say much—except I am glad I attended this event, and got some nice images.
I hope you all enjoy the show—and I wish you a pleasant day and evening.
