I bought this necklace because I like the little Turkomen bead at the center, but the pinkish bicone stone beads have made me curious as they appear (to me) to be hand made.
I believe people are still making stone beads by hand in Afghanistan, is this true? The other beads in the strand are mostly new serpentine beads.
