We have been having limited success with our consumer advocacy efforts with eBay. We have, on our advice regarding accuracy in description (actually LACK of accuracy), had 53 eBay auctions of collectible beads terminated over the past month. The general procedure is that the seller is contacted by us. If the seller fails to respond or revise in a reasonable amount of time, the auction/s are forwarded to eBay, who makes the final decision.

"Trade Bead"

We'd like to hear some opinions about what the bead collecting community feels about the term "Trade Bead".

1)Do you feel that this phrase encompasses a specific kind of bead, an era, or
both?

2)Do you feel that it is ethical or accurate to describe a bead as a "trade bead"
if it never was used as such?

3)Also, do you think it would be helpful if eBay had a specific category for
"Trade Beads"?
