I got this broken Pumtek bead on a recent mixed strand - and thought a picture of the inside of the bead, showing the opalized (fossilized) palmwood natural appearance, would be of interest.

The bead was originally about 32 mm long x 7.2 mm diameter.

I'm not sure if this is an old bead from the early 1900s, or a newly made bead.
