One telltale way to spot a fake MCN is in overall length. The length of an old original one is always the same. I cannot provide the exact length; I wish I had kept a detailed record of the fewer than twenty authentic and intact ones I have handled. Anyway, the beads vary in material, color and only slightly in size. The size of the beads can vary and maintain the same necklace length because of the cords which can compensate.
