All of the great bead hunters and necklace makers on this site have inspired me to take a crack at one myself. I haven't really made any for quite a few years. I have been holding back this old trader's string of ancient glass and stone that came from Thailand, said to be from a Davaravati site (circa 7 to 12th Century AD more or less). I kept thinking it really wanted to be a necklace someday.
So here it is, a mixture of nice ancient carnelian, rock crystal, Serpentine (I presume) and Tradewinds era lighter blue glass beads, along with contemporary 18 karat gold beads and clasp.
Thanks for looking,
Jan
