That is a very nice cane with the clear star center.

I believe these beads are related, made about the same time, created in recent decades and still being sold in new jewelry from Venice, Italy. I have found the rounds and bicones are covered with thinly sliced cane pieces. The colors float over a clear core, creating a different look than the older style with thicker slices.

I tried to find another example of the yellow cane with the clear star. This was the closest I could find. The Effetre cane slices (made in Italy) are sold on the Frantz Art Glass website.
