"Mosaic Coral" is made from large coral beads with large cavities. The better ones have been artfully repaired. They are as large as 1 & 1/4th inch in diameter. I'm afraid to wear them because the glue is old and the inlays may pop out.

I may be mistaken, but I feel the ladies in the photos are wearing a combination of plastic and real coral. Because the weight would be unbearable. Also because of the weight, I believe they would hang differently.
