I no longer care much about seller descriptions.

The main thing I depend on is for sellers to tell me if it is plastic, glass, stone, coral, etc. I can judge many details from photos, but some materials can be difficult to ID visually.

This chevron bead necklace is a recent purchase. It is my first purchase of large Venetian chevrons. The seller sells fashion items and it was described in fashion terms. The only 'real' search words were African style bead... not chevron, not Venetian, not trade. I love these sellers, their beads don't turn up in collector's searches, giving me time to find them as I slog through the junk listings.

The center bead is 30 x 40 mm, a very big bead with a large hole. I paid less than $30 for the entire necklace.

Seller's photo, not mine. It was very dark and has been lightened.

So if a seller says cane instead of trailed decoration... mfft! so what?
