silicosis is still shortening the lives of glass and stone workers. Considering that and the shorter general lifespan in ancient times, I wonder what the average lifespan of a worker making Dzi, or horned eye beads or etched carnelian or Tairona beads might have been. How old were these guys when in their prime?
