I have never seen a smaller "folded glassbead" from the "Early Islamic Period"- obviously a product of the Middle-Eastern Levant, made some ~1000 years ago.

Special is not only the small size (of the bead to the right), but the technique the beadmaker used. The desired shape is not completed here, a fact that helps to understand how classic folded specimen were made.
