That is how the bead looked since it was made in the early 20th c.....now, almost a century later, I had grinding king Alan Curtis regrind that bead for me. I posted it recently but here it is again to show the before and after. Also on this strand are two of the gorgeous uncirculated red Zens, like those shown by JP recently, and two wonderful "spool" grinds of 1920s red rosetta cane by Uwe.

That image above posted by Thomas is my 2007 "Tucson Handful"...including an applecore grind of early 20th c. standard red-white-blue rosetta cane by Alan Curtis, a lovely subtle pink Art Seymour chevron, a neat orange-yellow-black Luigi Cattelan chevron, and turquoise Luigi elbow chevron with Mario Cavignes applied lampwork. All accompanied by our much loved, late Uncle Russ beads, commissioned as a surprise by his Rings and Things staff and made in Peru, via Jeff Pines, JP Imports.
