We have in our museum an undated sample card from Sharrer & Koch in Bayreuth showing mixed colors of "Padre beads". They are the type we see coming from the African trade (although, most of what we see today are mixed with recent machine made "Roller" beads from the Czech).
We got that card in Murano in the 80s.
Since the Venetian bought at least one factory that we know of in Bohemia (Sachse Co.) in the 1920s, they probably also had contact with Bavaria. They may have put them in their inventory for sale.
I am wondering when looking at some Murano sample cards. There are quite a number of similar beads in round and oval shapes like the furnace wound made in Bavaria.
