Hair ornaments in (tribal) Mauritania until ca. 1970/75:
- Carved shells
- Muraqat
- Silver (as beads [often "El Fadda"] and/or amulettes)
- AMBER (NOT RESIN!)
- various glass beads
- various stone beads (> khorb) - most Idar-Oberstein or Gablonz
