Hello Everyone,

The Society of Bead Researchers is in the process of revamping its website . To liven it up, we are looking for images of beads and beadwork that will appear (as currently proposed) on either side of the existing SBR logo on each web page. As the focus of the Society is research, the images should be of old material, not modern jewelry or beadwork.

The images should be in a horizontal format, 4 x 5 in., and at least 300 dpi. Images of groups of beads rather than individual shots are preferred and, in the case of beadwork, details rather than overall views would work better, but we can crop as necessary. Images may also include old views of Native peoples wearing beads or beadwork or reconstructions of ancient dress incorporating beads. Essentially, anything goes! Just no copyrighted material, please.

We invite you to send images to karlis4444@gmail.com for consideration. There is no limit per person. If your image(s) are chosen, we will try to include a short description of the object(s) depicted and the owner/photographer.

Numerous lovely old beads and beadworked items have appeared on this site over the years and I hope that some of you will take the time to send some of the better ones to us.

Thank you for your consideration and help!

Karlis
