One of my main teachers for this style bead was a Bactrian bead I bought from David Ebbinghouse at Tucson. I would sit every night while visiting with Suzi and fondle and feel the bead, I find that feel is one of the most important aspects of any bead and have always used this criteria when making beads in the studio. I have always said if I can get one of my pieces in someones hand I stand a much better chance of selling it.

This bead is 100% hand made (yes I use machines) and I have hand finished it rather than machine sanding and polishing it. I think in doing this it puts the bead in its own category and gives it a true old look.

This bead is made with Arizona petrified wood its measurement are.
40.5mm long and 11.5mm at its widest diameter. Hole size 4mm

All my best ...... Danny

P.S. I am calling this new series "Lopacktrian", I have to give them something to think about
