Our community has lost our friend Silva Neilands yesterday. I am out of words at this time, but am sure many will agree with my note to Silva last week.......

My heart is very heavy, I am so thankful that we had our little visits in Tucson thru these recent years...I love your sharp wit, your astute political views, your keen taste, the list goes on. I am thankful for you in this world, and I love you.

Silva's site, oldbeads.com, was one of the first selling ethnic/antique/ancient beads and jewelry that I found on the internet - it had to be around the year 2000. I have always admired her honest and simple way of describing things, and in person, her perspective was amazing.

She will be so very missed by family, friends and customers the world over.
