Another green stone variety

This stone is a variety of diabase, a rock associated with basalts. It is a very hard, tough,and widely available stone, and often has greens in the feldspar component of the rock as this one does. Diabases are so tough that the bannerstone atlatl weights in New Jersey are almost all diabase and they are very common in areas around Trenton and Princeton. I think this rock has also been used for beads in mezoamerica as some of the published pictures suggest diabase. 56 mm long, 25 mm wide, 4 mm hole
