Hi! I had a question I'd see if maybe someone could help me out with... after a couple hours of non stop Google searching -which yielded no results- I got the bright idea to check forums. So here I am.
Last year I went to a local gem and mineral show and I stumbled upon a booth that had tons of strands of beads for sale. My mom had talked to the owner for a few minutes and she gave me an offer of 5 strands of beads for 20 dollars. I got some citrine, rose quartz, amethyst, moonstone, and (I believe) what she called spiny oyster shell and said "this particular kind is called dog bones." They're white, about the size of a tic tac and as described, kind of look like a dog bone. They were the only strand she had which was disappointing because I really liked how different they looked and would have bought more.
Since then almost a year has passed and I've used my tic tac sized beads very sparingly. I'd love to have more but I have no idea where to find them! I've googled every combination of spiny, oyster, beads, dog, bones, etc that I can think of and have yet to find anything resembling what I'm looking for. If anyone has any idea what they actually are, where I can get more, or just any info you wouldn't mind sharing with me, it would be so appreciated. =)
