Art surprised me awhile back and sent a few pieces of his always amazing cane. I placed the cane on my windowsill in the shop where I usually sit when I take a break and stare at the mountains, when not staring I look at what’s in the windowsill and contemplate what I might do with each piece. Some time ago I decided that I wanted to facet cut the piece of cane that is in the image I posted along with my idea.

The best thing about this 3D software I use is that I can play with ideas and never have to fire up the grinding wheel, this 3D image is of the cane with facets only. I am also working on the idea of doing facet cut with a dog bone center,I did one earlier today but it was a bit to deep. I got tired so I will play with the dog bone in the next day or two once I like what I see I will post the results on this thread.
