Original Message:   Our Chevron strand
Watched these hang along with another strand in a friends store in Gallup for some years back in the early eighties. I finally got to where we were doing quite a bit of trading along with him buying most of the things I was making. One day I could not let the two strands continue to hang there for someone else to buy so we did a cash trade deal on the piece I was selling. I think this would have been around 1985.

These beads had been hanging in the store from the time Suzi and I had first met Keith and his brother in 1980 and from what I understand they had been there quite awhile before we saw them. If I remember correctly the lesser strand was priced about 135.00 and this large strand about 225.00.

The length of the strand 38 inches the largest bead on this strand is 31mm in diameter and 38mm long the smallest 9.8mm X 10.3 mm. We broke the smaller strand up when we moved into the new house so we could use some of the beads as curtain pulls, in doing this when ever we are upstairs we can view some very nicely ground chevrons.

All my best ......... Danny

P.S. Two of the beads are four layer!!
