It was kind of a déjà vu, when the postman brought two packages from the US today, like the same time last year, when one arrived from Joyce and another from the Picards the same day...BCN and the Bead Swap definitely brings people “together”, even if there are thousands of miles distance...
Now the story of the second package (first one came from Fred): Some weeks ago I surfed on Facebook and followed a link to an Italian side, Thomas (TASART) had posted, and found a nice image there, of an African chief, wearing beads...I shared the image and Thomas asked me, if it is from the book “African Kings”, that I didn´t know at this time. I searched the web for the book and offers, and gave feedback to Thomas, but could not decide to buy, because even used ones where expensive, and suddenly Thomas sent a message, that he just bought the book for me from a seller in the US and that he will send it to me, after he got it...Isn´t that great?! Well, this was the second package today, but not only this beautiful book he sent...together with the book came this number from “Ornament”, with the report about Kiffa beads (I always wanted that one!), a beautiful illustrated magazine from 1971, I had never heard from before and a nice Christmas greeting card...Wow and double WOW, Thomas!!
