I have seen these types of beads on art deco era early (unsigned)Miriam Haskell 'Chinese' chain link necklaces and bracelets dating from the 1930's. It may be that Miriam Haskell had these imported to the USA from China- who is to say that they were not already vintage/antique when she purchased them for her line of Chinese jewelry exclusively. She, at least, appears to have assumed a Chinese origin. Perhaps she bought them from a dealer in Chinatown in San Fran? With this info, it appears that the beads could be either Tibetan or Chinese origin, and they may be older then is currently thought known. Any new thoughts on these turquoise mosaic beads since 2009! Nick
