These look like beads made from turquoise "block" - a man made imitation of turquoise sometimes called "recon" or "reconstructed" turquoise. "Recon" turquoise is often claimed to be made from pulverized turquoise but it is usually just plastic and dyes. There is also man made "compressed nugget." Real chunks of stone held together with resin and dyes. Both "block" and compressed nugget are made in blocks or loaves. I've posted pictures in the past.
