Because it had the small pieces of Venetian millefiori cane in it. I had seen it before at this antique shop, and got the bag to sort out the little cane pieces. Speaking of millefiori beads....

Here are some millefiori beads that were offered to me by a third little antique dealer in Jablonec. I asked about old beads, and these are what he came out with. I know the Czechs made (and make) beads with millefiori cane on them. However, they are usually of quite a different design than the Venetian millefiori beads. For as far as I know, they did not copy complete Venetian beads. So I believe these to be Venetian beads from the early 20th century that found their way to a Czech shop as part of a glass deal or through some other way? Any thoughts on these?
