Dave Mort has given the largest portion of his African Collection to Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana—where they are presently planning its storage and display. In September, the Snite Museum, on the campus, will present an exhibit of the Mort Collection. Over the past ten months, I have been working with the Director and Curator, toward the presentation of this exhibit. The beads—both African and imported types—will be prominently included. I expect this to be a wonderful exhibit. I hope anyone near South Bend, or passing through the area, will consider attending.
