They are sometimes called Chinese Millefiore or Dragon Eye Beads. The way yours are mounted is unusual. I believe the one you posted is from the 1920's because the squiggles form a rectangle and the eye is neatly centered.

On occasion, but rarely, I have seen other beads mounted in this manner and used as watch fobs. But, to me, this beads seems too bright to have been used this way.
