Original Message:   turquoise colour faience discs with several holes
I’ve never really found out enough about the ?ancient egyptian or iranian turquoise-colour buttons or discs that have a number of round holes – are they as old as the millions of tiny narrow tubes and rings found in Pharaonic burials, are they from the same times and places as them, or contemporary with the larger round so-called “donkey beads” that may be more recent from Iran, etc? do we have any special name for the discs that one could look up online? Were the holes made for threading in a certain way?
