I just attended my first bead show since Tucson 2020. It's not a show with many collectible beads, but I did pick up this foursome. They were dug out from various trays of mixed beads at two different tables. The two center beads are 1980s vintage Moretti, I believe. The bead to the right (striped murrini decoration) appears to be a Czech bead using Venetian cane, and also 1980s vintage. T he bead to the left is an antique Venetian fancy with translucent green base. Beside beads, the really lovely part of returning to bead shows is running into bead pals and sellers that I haven't seen for a year and a half. Hopefully this show is a harbinger of a return to "normal". One of the sellers said she did well at the postponed Tucson show in April, another good sign. So, see you all in Tucson next February?
