I haven't taught classes in awhile (THANK YOU COVID-19!!) (not) but when I have, new students tend to go with the colors, shapes, etc. THEY like, not what's 'in style'. I don't even know what's really 'on-trend' right now, but maybe greater access to the internet, social media, etc., has allowed for more diversity in design? Hope so!
