the evolution of fashions and tastes interests me a lot-
as school has finished, today i gave a threading class to my 14-yr old granddaughter and 2 of her schoolfriends ... it will be fascinating to see if their style choices are indicators of current trends... my granddaughter first picked out and matched a whole choker length of 10mm fake pearls - then a somewhat matching bracelet, then used transparent green and milky white czech glass shapes to make another bracelet. her friends both started out mixing random small shapes in very subdued dark and light colours, while a 22-yr-old friend made something with nice subtle colours but very formal and symmetrical... all agreed their creations were cool... one said she specially added a discordant yellow bead just to be annoying...! most of the day they were absolutely quiet while giving attention to finding the right beads...
