My dad took up woodworking late in life after he retired. He did beautiful work. And every time one of us would tell us that, he would point out his mistakes. None of us would have noticed them if he hadn't, and after he showed them to us, we couldn't unsee them! :-D I'm guessing your necklace is equally beautiful. And that very few people will ever notice the "unprofessional" bits.
