This reminds me of a bear sculpture I bought online earlier this year. It was a great price for a wood sculpture. But when it arrived, it was much heavier than a wood piece should be. After a little research, I found it was actually made from a mixture of ground pecan shells and some agent that made it moldable. So it's literally 'cast wood'.
